Linda F. - Irondequoit says:
I met Dave at my local farmers' market where he was selling his microgreens (do try them if you haven't, you'll be pleasantly surprised). Once upon a time I had a lovely rose garden and a chain link fence. I live in Irondequoit, famous for its deer, and the deer used it as a buffet. After trying every deer repellent, I gave up and weeds took over, weeds taller than me that fought back when I tried to pull them. Now that I have a stockade fence and can actually grow things, I had Dave dig it all out, put down new garden cloth and mulch and some stepping stones and it looks great and I am so happy with the result! It's going to rest over the winter, but next year blackberries, blueberries, tomatoes and some herbs are going in. I couldn't do that without Dave's help. Dave was there when he said he would be, we talked about what I would be using the area for, what kind of ground cover to use and nutrients to add to the soil. I think Dave cared as much about my garden as he does about his. If I have any other garden projects I need help with, I will definitely ask Dave again.
